Pool Construction
What to Expect During Your Pool Construction Process
1
Excavation
Once permitting and utility line locates are complete, our excavator sets forms and begins digging your pool according to the plan design.
2
Steel
Steel bars are carefully placed throughout the floor and walls of your pool. Our minimum steel schedule is 3/8" rebar on 8" centers with 4 1/2" bars placed in the bond beam of your pool.
3
Plumbing
Next, your circulation system takes shape. Main drains, skimmers, and water features are plumbed independently of each other. Once complete, all plumbing is pressured tested to ensure top quality connections.
4
Gunite
Your pool really takes shape when the shell is constructed. Gunite is pneumatically applied over steel cage where your steps, decks and any beach-type entries are hand-sculpted by our experts. NOTE: your gunite needs to be watered twice a day for two weeks.
5
Electric
Licensed electrical-contractors, with a long association with our company, work within local code requirements under our supervision.
6
Tile &
Coping
The tile and coping material you selected is installed by expert stone masons along the top edge of the pool and the water line, creating that eye catching "frame" around the pool. We recommend using a sealant once a year on your flagstone.
7
Decks
Upon completion of all electrical, plumbing, gas and drainage lines, your deck forms are set according to plan. You will choose from a variety of colors, materials, and textures to create your signature look.
8
Plaster
Finally, plaster is applied to the gunite shell making the shell watertight. A wide array of color choices and surface textures can be applied.
